On Wednesday, November 2, Bronx Commons was named the winner of the 2022 ULI New York Gala Excellence in Affordable Housing Development Award. Co-developed by Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco) and BFC Partners, the mixed-use affordable housing development was commemorated for its impact in revitalizing the Melrose neighborhood, offering a range of apartment affordability, including units for formerly homeless victims and survivors of domestic violence, along with neighborhood and cultural amenities such as a new pre-school, and the new Bronx Music Hall. Bronx Commons was financed under the New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Department of Housing Preservation & Development’s (HPD) Mix & Match and HPD’s Our Space programs.
