Programmer Analyst/Reports Developer

Position Summary:

The Programmer/Reports Developer reports directly to the Vice President, Enterprise Architecture. This position demands versatility, as the ideal candidate will be tasked with a diverse array of responsibilities. They must possess strong programming skills for developing and maintaining reports utilizing tools like Microsoft PowerBI and Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) and demonstrate proficiency in various database programming tasks such as SQL/PLSQL development and object-oriented programming. Additionally, the role entails data analysis and the potential utilization of ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a proactive attitude towards technology adoption. With a strong emphasis on innovation, they should be eager to explore and implement emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and Microsoft Copilot. Position Type:   Full Time/Exempt

Salary Range:    $110,000 - $120,000

Location:            NYC/Financial District

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain reports using tools like Microsoft PowerBI, Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and other data visualization platforms.
  • Perform database programming tasks, including SQL/PLSQL development and object-oriented programming.
  • Perform general scripting and programming tasks in a variety of language as the need arises.
  • Conduct data analysis to support business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather report requirements and ensure accuracy and relevance of reports.
  • Explore and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve report development processes.
  • Potentially work with ETL tools like ODI for data integration and transformation tasks.
  • Interface with various APIs to facilitate movement of data between applications and databases.
  • Communicate effectively with internal IT partners and end users to ensure understanding and compliance with report requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working in application development. 
  • Proficiency in report development using tools like PowerBI, OBIA, OBIEE and data visualization.
  • Strong SQL/PLSQL database programming skills.
  • Strong Object-oriented programming skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Knack for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator would be a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new and upcoming technologies such as AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Oracle Data Integrator.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial ERP modules is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: (if any)

  • Relevant IT certifications a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Oracle Cloud.
